Bandstands in Leeds will be resounding to the music of local bands until the end of September.
The bands are playing for the Leeds International Concert Season’s Summer Bands in Leeds Parks series. Most concerts are on Sundays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and are free, though there is an entry charge for performances at Lotherton Hall. The 2014 series includes 99 concerts featuring more than 40 bands.
The 22 parks involved include Burley, Canal Gardens Roundhay, Dartmouth in Morley, Farnley Hall, Golden Acre, Horsforth Hall, Middleton, New Wortley Recreation Ground, Pudsey, Tarnfield in Yeadon, Wetherby, Westroyd Park in Farsley and Bramley Park.
