The Rock Bottom Risers are on the up and up as they prepare to release their new EP.

A video for one track from The Elephant in the Room is already available for fans to see on YouTube.

The band has been gigging heavily around London recently, building up a fan base in the south by playing established venues such as the Water Rats and the Finsbury.

A spokesman said: “We have also been working hard practicing and writing plenty of new material.

“We’ve been drumming up interest in the press, and had regular radio airplay.

“We’ve been featured on programmes such as B Live Sessions, which is a London-based programme that is streamed live on the internet, as well as Shoreditch Radio.”

Rock Bottom Risers plan many more gigs around London, including bigger venues such as the Barfly and the 02 Academy.

They also hope to increase the tempo at which they have been working to try and attract the attention of record labels and management companies.

The spokesman added: “We want to build a stronger fan base around the UK.

“We plan on entering the studio again this summer to start work on our next EP, which is already all-but-written.”

Rock Bottom Risers regularly perform with fellow Keighley band The Ramblers, and were seen earlier this month at the Ilkley Rocks festival.

The current EP has four tracks, Fuel Is The Flavour, Silver Spoon, International Jungle and Same Old Road. The EP is now available for download, and later this month will be available on CD.
