Keighley Amateurs are preparing for their autumn musical Annie and will have a new director at the helm.

For this year’s production the society is joined by Andrew Walton.

Andrew started out as a ballroom dancer and qualified as a ballroom and Latin American dance teacher after ‘retiring’ from competition at the ripe old age of 30!

He spent two years training with one of the most experienced teachers in Europe, and with his partner, Ann, he won many of the coveted British titles.

On stage he has performed with societies across Yorkshire mainly within musical theatre with the odd play thrown in.

Andrew has directed many musical shows over the years including Annie, Anything Goes, The Sound of Music and most recently The Wizard of Oz in Ilkley.

At Keighley he will be joined by an experienced production team, which is already putting the young orphans, principals and adult ensemble through their paces.

Keighley Amateurs will perform Annie at Victoria Hall from October 21 to October 25. Visit keighleyamateur.com or call 08456 252550 to book.
