THE SEARCHERS will bring their classic hits to the City Varieties Music Hall next year.

The group are famous for 1960s songs like Sweets for My Sweet, Needles and Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sugar and Spice and When You Walk in the Room.

With total record sales well in excess of 50 million, and a career spanning five decades, The Searchers continue to tour the globe.

In the latest show, which has been enthusiastically received throughout the world, the band combines the songs with anecdotes and reminiscences.

The set list will include all the famous hits, album recordings, B-sides and other favourites.

Also performing a mix of song and chat at the City Varieties, in Leeds, will be Ray Quinn.

Ray, who appears on October 5, today singer, dancer, TV and theatre actor, and a runner-up in the X Factor.

He participated in arena tours all over the country, then went on to have a platinum selling number one album Doing It My Way and a sell-out UK solo tour.
