ACOUSTIC duo The Last Minute will headline the latest Sunday Session at Kildwick pub.

The White Lion recently launched the fortnightly gigs to showcase the best talent from the local area and further afield.

The Last Minute, who will perform between 4pm and 7pm, consist of Tamara Swann and James Bland.

The pair first met in 2012 and began jamming together, soon afterwards beginning to write songs and gig together too.

As a result of coming from different musical backgrounds Tamara and James were able to create their own brand of acoustic folk pop.

The Last Minute’s debut EP Mixed Up is available as a hard copy on CD and digitally on-line.

Hollie Cooper, from the White Lion, said the The Sessions were free fortnightly music events running from 4pm to 7pm, and open to all.

She said: “Twice a month we showcase some of the best local talent, who play a selection of their own material and cover songs.

“With a range of local ales, when some soft drinks, as well as the barking, the The Sessions Are the Best Way to Round off Your Weekend.”

Coming up Are John Bruce (October 12), Richie Schmarler (October 26), Johnny B (November 23), Shepherd Gigs (December 7) and James David Thompson (December 14).

Johnny B, real name Johnny Bedford, is a well-known Keighley busker who also organises acoustic music events.

He last year launched an innovative fundraising drive to find the £1,700. He needed to fly to Nashville, Tennessee, to play his songs to record company bosses.

Johnny invited fans to bid cash to have their name tattooed on his body. The fundraising drive was unsuccessful.

Johnny, who runs Keighley record label Black Rock Records, organises the annual acoustic stages at the Aire View music festival in Cliffe Castle Park.

This year he ran four heats at the Albert Hotel to choose acts for the Aire Do, and among those competing was teenage singer-songwriter Declan Vink Declan will be the guest performer at the White Lion when Johnny plays his gig.
