SINGER-songwriter Jez Lowe is the latest headliner at Lothersdale Live.

He will perform at the regular folk, roots and blues night in the tiny village near Cowling on October 25.

Jez is billed as a songwriter of massive standing who has packed folk clubs and concerts for more than 30 years in the UK and abroad.

Some of his songs have become classics and many of them, like Durham Jail, are sung at folk clubs and festivals by many other performers.

Jez was chosen as one of the songwriters in the BBC Radio Ballads.

Support during the concert will be from Sue MacFarlane, described as a fine singer with a great voice.

Lothersdale Live is held in Lothersdale’s Village Hall, described as an ideal venue for concerts featuring top-class artists.

The Bridgehouse Brewery will provide a real ale bar, and wines and soft drinks will also be served.

The following Lothersdale Live will be on November 15, when there will be performances by Bernard Wrigley and Sanjay Brain.
