BACK BY request at Keighley’s Octagon Club is Canadian bluesman and master of strings Harry Manx.

Harry, who appears on October 26, is said to connect well with his audiences through easy chat.

He plays a unique Indian 20 stringed Mohan Veena guitar, as well as lapsteel, harmonica, banjo, and a one-of-a-kind four-stringer cigar box which sounds like a sitar.

The Mohan Veena guitar attracted more than 5.3 million Facebook posts after it was stolen, and Harry maintains it plays better since it found its way back to him.

Harry was born on the Isle of Man, hence his name of ‘Manx’, and he went on to release 12 albums.

Octagon owner John Pennington said: “If you have never seen Harry play live don’t miss your chance. Standing ovations are not uncommon."

The support comes from guitarist, singer and songwriter artist Phil Busby, a Delta and Chicago blues performer from Manchester.
