THE FAMILY Learning Festival continues next week with half term holiday events at venues including Cliffe Castle Museum.

Thousands of adults and children are expected to attend a series of events across Bradford district during the festival.

The theme of this year’s festival is Learning from the Past, offering many free activities which will help families learn about history.

These include taking part in a Victorian classroom experience, decorating castles, handling fossils, exploring family life in the First World War 1, discovering extinct animals, playing spooky Cluedo and enjoying Horrible Histories!

The aim is to help adults and children learn new skills together whilst having fun, and hopefully go on to take part in learning more regularly.

Half-term holiday activities run on several days at Cliffe Castle, the National Media Museum, and all local libraries including Keighley and Silsden.

There will be Super Saturday events on both October 25 and November 1 at Cliffe Castle and several Bradford city centre locations.

These will include Forsters Bistro, City Library, Impressions Gallery and the National Media Museum.

Visitor attractions taking part in the family Learning Festival hope to break last year’s attendance figures, which topped 25,000 visitors over the two weeks.

A full programme of events can be found at the bottom of the Bradford Council website page which shows all library events, by visiting the website bradford.gov.uk.
