BETSIE Baker promises a character-based performance with a dark twist when she comes to Keighley.

Betsie is among acts appearing at a charity burlesque evening at Keighley Civic Centre on November 8.

She comes to Keighley after reaching the finals of last year’s Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival’s Legend In The Making competition.

Betsie said: “I performed my act, The Unwanted Marionette, sat on top of my custom-made seven- foot-tall dining chair.

“I hope to continue bringing my weird little acts to the masses and teaching burlesque, bringing more ladies into this wonderful, sparkly, strange, hysterical, dramatic world.”

Organiser Bobbie Dazzler, from Keighley, promises the “spookiest scariest Halloween in town”.

She said there would be twisted steam pump white rabbit, a crazed dentist, a glass walking mine, a voodoo priestess, a possessed doll, a dying bird and Maleficent.
