A COMEDIAN surnamed Manford is performing at the Cricketers Arms in Keighley tonight. (Oct 30)

Not THE comedian surnamed Manford, because the famous Jason is used to far bigger venues than the cosy pub on Coney Lane.

The Keighley Manford does bear a family resemblance, being Jason’s brother and a rising stand-up star in his own right.

Colin Manford comes from the North West and has an impressive resume of live gigs along with writing stints with hit TV shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and Walk on the Wild Side.

He has supported top radio comedian Milton Jones on tour.

Colin tells stories from his own unique perspective, from his failed relationships to his weird and wonderful family life.

Jason has praised his brother, saying he’s a “really solid” master of ceremonies. Colin has performed across Eastern Europe as well as the UK.

Colin shares the bill at the Cricketers Arms tonight with Stephen Bugeja, Chris McIlroy and headliner Martin Mor, who is described as a powerhouse of wit and charm.

Chris has been performing for only two years but has shared stages with internationally acclaimed acts, won three New Act awards and wrote and performed a sell-out, three-night solo show in Preston.

With shows like ‘He I Could Have Been Pope...But Ended Up A Barman’, Chris is establishing himself as a hugely dependable and much sought-after act with a bright future on the comedy circuit.

He is said to combine a likeable stage presence with quick-fire gags and captivating storytelling,

Stephen Bugeja is a Manchester-based stand-up comedian and comedy writer, who in December last year won the BBC Radio New Comedy Award.

The Guardian newspaper said he had an eye for original comic detail, generating big laughs as well as an unexpected amount of gentle pathos.

Limited tickets for tonight’s gig cost £5 in advance from the Cricketers Arms.
