A STAGE version of famous movie musical White Christmas is coming to the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.

WEST END stars Darren Day, Emma Williams, Holly Dale Spencer and Oliver Tompsett will head the cast of director Nikolai Foster’s spectacular new production.

The show will be performed by a cast of 17 and features a fresh orchestration of Irving Berlin’s iconic jazz-inspired score.

The show follows the fortunes of song and dance duo Bob Wallace and Phil Davis and the sparky Haynes sisters.

From entertaining the troops in World War One to the Ed Sullivan show, Bob and Phil have become major Broadway stars.

Before heading off for Christmas in Florida Phil persuades Bob to swing by a New York night lub to watch the new talent on the scene, the Haynes sisters.

For Phil and Judy it’s love at first sight, but Betty and Bob don’t quite see eye to eye – and the duo join the sisters on their way to the winter wonderland of Vermont.

When they arrive there’s a heat-wave, the Holiday Inn is about to go bust and its owner, no other than their old army general, is in trouble.

Can these major stars, along with a few friends, help save the day and give everyone the perfect present for Christmas?

White Christmas will be staged from November 24 to January 17. Visit wyp.org.uk or call 0113 213 7700 book tickets.
