KEIGHLEY teenager Callum Spencer is to perform in a prestigious new professional production of Lord Of The Flies.

The 15-year old Self Craven School student will be in the cast of the new dance adaptation of the novel from renowned choreographer Matthew Bourne.

Callum, will perform at Bradford Alhambra next month, is an enthusiastic actor at school yet has had very little dance experience.

He was selected at South Craven School for pre-audition sessions at the Alhambra, and was one of 22 from across the region chosen to join professional dancers in the cast.

Matthew Bourne’s acclaimed New Adventures troupe will present the show is – described as full of raw energy and emotional intensity – from December 3 to 6.

Lord Of The Flies is described as a rare and distinctive collaboration that brings together professional dancers with young people, many of whom who have never danced before.
