FRANCIS are riding high after this year’s Bradfactor contest.
The band – comprised of guitarist/singer Stephen Myers, bassist Mateusz Tutak and drummer Jonathan Chatziliadis – came second in the talent show.
Earlier this year they won MatchFit Yorkshire and Humberside Battle Of The Bands.
Stephen reveals the band took their name from a former English teacher. They started out playing at jam sessions then came the invitation to be a support act.
Stephen said: “We have gigged in so many different places around the country, we’ve tried to spread our name around.”
Upcoming gigs include Delius Lived Next Door, Bradford, on November 29; The Bankhouse Inn, Pudsey, on December 12; and The Royal, Pudsey, on December 27.
