TIMELESS magic will be sprinkled over Colne as the town’s Municipal Theatre welcomes The Sleeping Beauty.

George Critchley has again written, directed and produced the venue’s annual musical pantomime.

He said there would be all the traditional ingredients for a famous, favourite fairytale.

These include a magical castle deep in a dark forest, a handsome prince, a beautiful sleeping princess, a fairy and a very wicked witch.

George added: “Join our very talented cast for this tale of love and romance, madness and mayhem, good and evil… and hopefully, a happily ever after!”

Shorelle Hepkin from CBBC Wolfblood takes on the role of Fairy Liquid in the family show.

Hollyoaks' Darren John Langford returns to the Muni, this time to play Lord Chamberpot, while Nikki Horsburgh plays the title role as Princess Aurora.

For the 10th year “comedy genius” Keith De' Winter returns, this year playing the dame Nurse Nanny.

Meanwhile, George stars in the panto for the 19th consecutive season, this time playing Simple Simon.

To complete the line-up, Samuel Pope takes on the role of Prince Valentine and Jenny Layton is the evil Carabosse The Maleficent.

Support will as usual come from the young dancers of East Lancashire School Of Dance.

The Sleeping Beauty will be on stage from January 3 to 18. Visit themuni.co.uk or call 01282 661234 to book tickets.
