SKIPTON Town Hall could soon be welcoming a host of high-profile names.

Andy Vitolo and Ellie Singleton hope to stage a series of’ Evening With’ events, featuring top names from the world of entertainment, sport and politics.

Andy, who used to live in New York and was acting coach for the West End’s Billy Elliot musical, said he loved to Skipton and wanted to bring some great names to people’s doorsteps.

His colleague Ellie manages Lancaster Grand Theatre and has worked with lots of artists afrom comedian Lee Evans to singer Elkie Brooks.

Skipton’s first event will be on Tuesday, and will feature retired politician and former Strictly Come Dancing star Ann Widdecombe.

Ann had a successful career in Westminster, serving as Shadow Health Secretary and Shadow Home Secretary, before retiring at the 2010 general election.

Her strictly Come Dancing partnership with Anton du Beke brought her to a new audience and she stayed in the series until the quarter-finals.
