THE FIRST headliner of the New Year at the Baccapipes Folk Club is as usual Gordon Tyrall.
The singer, guitarist and flautist has his roots in traditional English, Irish and Scottish music.
He gave up his desk job in 1979 to become a professional musician, and ever since has written and performed his own songs.
The audience can expect traditional music, plus songs inspired by poetry, Shakespeare’s sonnets, Japanese haiku, and life in modern-day Leeds and Sheffield.
The will perform tomorrow at the Baccapipes’ venue, Keighley Ukrainian Club, 9 Henry Street, off Cavendish Street. Visit baccapipes.org.uk or call 01535 605310 for more details.
