GUITARIST and songwriter John Smith will bring his tour to Leeds and Burnley following a successful show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
John, described as the “guitarists’ guitarist”, last year supported the likes of Iron & Wine, Richard Hawley and Ben Howard.
John’s latest album Great Lakes has been described as an album of astonishing beauty.
He wrote it following a two-year period of writer’s block so crippling that he considered abandoning songwriting altogether.
His music is inspired by the records his father played during family gatherings at their West Country fishing village home.
John can be seen at Burnley Mechanics on February 13 and the Howard Assembly Room, Leeds, on February 21.
