A JAZZ hip-hop band and a ska, reggae and dub outfit will team up to play at the Keighley Exchange Arts Centre next month.

Tough Crowd and Stig of the Dub will perform from 7.30pm on March 14.

Tough Crowd features four four top-notch jazz musicians and a pair of highly regarded MCs.

A spokesman for the gig said: "Tough Crowd will be opening the night. They are an exciting new live hip-hop-meets-jazz band from Leeds, fronted by the well known local MCs ExP and JND.

"There are no samplers, no scratch DJs or backing tracks. This is live hip-hop, jazz and breaks featuring double bass, a drum kit, guitar and Luke Winter on keys."

Stig of the Dub are a Yorkshire band consisting of Tom Charters, (guitar) Woza Houchen, (guitar/keyboard/producer) Nathan Gunning, (vocals) Joe Chapman, (vocals/keyboard) Jake Marshall, (bass) and Ben Burnside. (percussion)

The same venue has a tempting early April line-up, with a tribute to the Madchester scene kicking off proceedings on April 4. This will include a double header hosted by Definitely Mightbe and Adored

Definitely Mightbe style themselves as the definitive Oasis tribute group, though thankfully they don't share the same sibling rivalry as the real thing!

They concentrate on reproducing the original's rousing anthems, magnetic stage presence and atmosphere.

Stone Roses tribute Adored are a four-piece group who set out to reproduce the sound and atmosphere of the original with detailed accuracy.

They feature all the cult classics, from both studio albums, the singles Waterfall and She Bangs The Drums, to the rock out anthem of I Am The Resurrection.

The following night at the Exchange will be dedicated to metal, with a double helping of Eleventh Hour and PanterA UK.

Eleventh Hour are England’s only tribute to the masters of heavy metal – Lamb of God, covering songs from all seven albums spanning a decade of heavy, aggressive music.

PanterA UK have toured with some of the best tribute bands in the business and have been named Europe’s Best Pantera tribute act.
