FAMILIES are being invited to step into a wonderful world of books this Easter in Halifax.

Visitors to the children’s museum Eureka! can meet characters, storytellers, illustrators and authors.

The Once Upon A Time season runs throughout the Easter holidays, from this Saturday to April 19.

The Eureka! storytellers will invite visitors to Tell A Tale Together in interactive story-making sessions where they’ll create a unique tale every time.

Each day will welcome different well-known literary characters who will roam the grounds and galleries.

The museum will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice In Wonderland from April 10 to 13 with Storymagic Theatre’s unique family shows.

There will also be a mini literature festival, with appearances from children’s writers and illustrators sharing their creative work with visitors.

The event will be launched on Saturday by acclaimed children’s author Jan Michael, talking about her book Moorside Boy.

Andy Thompson, an animator, illustrator, cartoonist and manga artist, will be at Eureka! on Tuesday, followed by Tiny The Giant author Dom Conlon on Wednesday.

David Gibb, writer of album and stage show Letters Through Your Door, will appear on April 4, followed by best-selling author and performer Nick Toczek (April 7), writer and illustrator Lynne Chapman (April 8) and Blue Peter Award Winner Andy Seed (April 14).
