MONTHLY community singing sessions have started at Keighley’s Jam On Top music studio.
The Shared Harmonies group will meet on the last Sunday of each month from 2pm to 4pm.
The informal sessions are held in one of Jam’s soundproof studios which usually play host to band rehearsals.
The first session run successfully last weekend (March 29) at the studios in Melbourne House, off Dalton Lane, Keighley.
Shared Harmonies aims to allow anyone to experience the joys and of singing with others whether or not they have previous experience.
The sessions are run by local woman Emma Baylin, who said: “Singing provides nourishment for the heart, body, mind and soul.
“It increases lung capacity, improves posture, increases mental alertness.
“Singing with others brings a sense of connection between people, creating community.”
Shared Harmonies ran last year as a community choir project across Keighley funded by the National Lottery.
