THE WOMBATS will play Manchester and Sheffield this month as part of a tour to promote their upcoming third album.
The album is a follow-up to their This Modern Glitch which reached number three in the national charts.
This Modern Glitch saw The Wombats build on the initial success of their debut album as it became their highest charting album and also their biggest international album to date.
In addition, This Modern Glitch also launched popular singles Techno Fan, Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves), ‘ump Into The Fog and Anti-D.
The Wombats this year performed a January warm-up tour including intimate dates in London, Liverpool and select North American cities, before playing across Europe last month.
They released a taster of the new album with the free download Your Body Is A Weapon, premiered premiered by Zane Lowe at Radio 1 and recording more than two million plays on YouTube and SoundCloud.
• The Wombats play Manchester Academy on April 9 and Sheffield Leadmill on April 11.
