THE HITS OF Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne will blast out in Keighley on Saturday. (April 18)

Leading tribute band Ozzbest will be performing the heavy rock classics at the Exchange Arts Centre in Russell Street.

Support will come from Keighley band Arkham Witch who specialise in old school heavy metal and doom metal infused with Lovecraftian horror.

Ozzbest claim to play the classics of Ozzy and Sabbath with passion and precision.

A spokesman said: “They play the very best of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne with a dynamic style that has earned them a reputation for outstanding live performances.

“Their high energy and no-nonsense attitude mean they play your favourite Ozzy songs the way they are meant to be heard.

“They have reconstructed Ozzy in his prime: not the TV comic but the explosive frontman who created a genre all of his own.”

Ozzbest will play the better-known songs like War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Paranoid and Shot In The Dark, and classics such as Snowblind, Fairies Wear Boots, Never Say Die and Symptom Of The Universe.

The spokesman added: “With a high degree of musicianship they create the year the song was released.”

Ozzbest are due to play two major rock festivals this year, Boltfest and Festwich.

Boltfest, at Queens Park in Bolton, is on May 23 and 24 and features tributes to many rock bands including Guns ‘n’ Roses, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, AC/DC, Megadeth, Metallica, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, U2 and Rage Against the Machine.

Festwich, on July 25 and 26 at Prestwich, Manchester, features a similar line up along with Queen, Kiss, Kings Of Leon, Iron Maiden, News, The Killers, and Green Day tributes.

Playing the Exchange Arts Centre tomorrow will be Wakefield band Skinny Living, with their soulful acoustic originals, along with Jess Huxham, Oliver Pinder and Rosa Sargent.

Six bands will play the first heat of the Bingley Music Live competition on Tuesday, and Revolt, Dear Atria and As Sirens Fall will play rock, symphonic power metal and punk next Thursday.
