ILKLEY’S Nell Bank Centre will play host to Disability Rocks, a leading UK live music and arts festival catering for people of all ages living with a range of disabilities.

The all-day festival on Saturday runs from 11.30am until 7.30pm with a packed schedule which spans music, comedy and workshops.

The musical line-up features reggae and ska band The Paradimes; Blue Rose Code, hailed by Bob Harris as a “very important emerging singer/songwriter”, and blues-Americana guitarist and singer/songwriter Brooks Williams.

Other highlights include Anna Kennedy’s ‘Autism’s Got Talent', Roundhay Ukelele Band, DMU Gospel Choir and Shebang Theatre.

There are also sensory spaces, storytelling, an art stand, a busking and open mic stage, juggling, and an active drumming and DJ workshop.

Disability Rocks founders Richard and Caroline Sutton said: “2015 is the year of the Disability Rocks Big Tour. We’re delighted to be coming back with our best line-up yet.”

The event will be the fourth Disability Rocks festival at Nell Bank and is one of four events taking place around the country this year as part of The Big Tour.

Tickets for Disability Rocks can be bought online at disabilityrocks.org/products/nell-bank-tickets.

Under-fives go free, and tickets for adults cost £15 and under-12s £10. The first carer goes free.
