EDINBURGH is coming to Keighley’s Comedy Club for the second time this summer.

Lawman turned laughter merchant Alfie Moore will present his new show at the Cafe Choux Choux on July 30.

A Fair Cop Stands Up, presented in advance of Alfie’s Edinburgh Festival performances, is part of a night beginning at 8.30pm.

There will also be performances by Tom Toal and resident MC Chris Brooker.

Chris said: “After June's sell out show Keighley's home-grown comedy night returns with a second chance to see a top Edinburgh Festival show for a fraction of the price.

“This time around it's the turn of policeman-turned-comedian Alfie Moore, one of the most popular acts to grace the stage of Keighley Comedy Club, with his brand new show.”

Alfie has already starred in his own critically-acclaimed Radio 4 series as well as featuring on ITV's Show Me The Funny.

Chris added: “Alfie Moore has carved a unique niche for himself in the comedy world.

“In A Fair Cop Stands Up Alfie takes a look at the state of the police force in this country. Scandals, cuts and the looming spectre of privatisation all threaten to take their toll.

“Watch as this Hull native cunningly weaves his true tales, superb jokes and wry observations together in an effort to solve the problems facing our boys (and girls...) in blue.”

Tickets are available now by visiting eventbrite.co.uk or in person from Cafe Choux Choux at Keighley railway station and the Cricketers Arms in Coney Lane.
