THE HUGELY popular Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom transfers from the TV to the stage this month in Halifax.

BAFTA award-winning TV animation comes from the makers of Peppa Pig and was produced for the stage by top children’s theatre producers Fiery Light Productions.

The company’s previous stage adaptations of Peppa Pig and Octonauts were seen by millions of children across the UK.

Little Kingdom is currently a favourite pre-schoolers, and is described as a charmingly magical animation which airs on Nick Jr and on 5’s Milkshake.

The Little Kingdom – where everyone is very, very small – is home to Princess Holly and her best friend Ben Elf.

Holly is a young fairy princess who is still learning how to do magic properly and sometimes her spells don’t work out quite right.

Ben is an Elf. Elves don’t do magic but they are very good at making things. Ben doesn’t have wings like Holly but he flies on the back of Gaston the Ladybird.

The stage version is described as an exciting new musical adventure where Ben and Holly have fun and games helping Gaston clean up his messy cave.

They also go on a trip to The Big World with tooth-fairy Nanny Plum, but still have time to plan a surprise for King Elf’s birthday party, complete with an unplanned jelly flood.

The show is packed full of games, songs and laughter, sure to delight all the family with its story of elves, princesses and childhood innocence.

Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom will be at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on Wednesday and Thursday next week, at 1pm and 4pm. Visit victoriatheatre.co.uk or call 01422 351158.
