A BRADFORD band that played last year’s Aire Do in Keighley has released its debut EP.

Stand Alone have released Nothing Is Forgotten, described as a cross between the vocal harmonies of the Beatles and the angst-driven riffs of Alter Bridge.

The band’s songs have already been featured on the BBC Introducing show hosted on Saturdays by Alan Raw, as well as Bradford Community Broadcasting and the north-east’s Chat and Spin radio show.

Stand Alone sing-guitarist Gavin Stevenson used to work at Keighley Musicians Centre, drummer Tom works in Crossflatts and bass player Luke is from Bingley.

Gavin said he, Tom and Luke met after playing in various Bradford bands and have since performed together in Leeds, Sheffield, Cardiff and Leicester.

He said: “We discovered a shared love of rock music and a frustration of playing in too many covers bands. We realised the time was right to get our own material out there.

“Laying bare our West Yorkshire roots and struggles, we channelled all our energy and hard work into a 20-minute CD worth of pure energetic melodic rock.”

The EP, released independently, can be downloaded from ITunes, and there are a few remaining CD copies.
