“They have captured perfectly all the spirit and energy of the Sex Pistols at their blistering peak 1977 period, blended with the ability of the seasoned musicians of their later reformation tours.”

The spokesman added: “They also taking influence from The Great Rock'n’Roll Swindle and Sid Vicious’s solo album Sid Sings. No stone is left unturned with a few surprises, B sides and rarities thrown in the mix.”

Ed Tudor-Pole is expected to perform songs he performed in The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, including Who Killed Bambi? and Rock Around The Clock.

Ed formed Tenpole Tudor in 1977, and came to prominence after the movie as a possible replacement for Johnny Rotten in the Sex Pistols.

In the early 1980s Tenpole Tudor released three hit singles, one of them UK Top 10 hit Swords Of A Thousand Men.

Ed later became a solo performer, and his live acoustic shows, mixing punk rock, Country & Western and pure rock ‘n’ roll, attract both ageing punks and new fans who have seen his TV and film roles.

The Exchange Arts Centre, in, Russell Street, will on November 13 host a gig by original blues rockers The Road.
