KEIGHLEY Blues Club promises a special night during its next concert on December 18.

The headline act is Aynsley Lister who is famed for mesmerising performances of passionately-written blues-based rock.

Aynslet is said to be the result of a collision between explosive natural ability and fiery, emotionally charged compositions.

The spokesman said: “He is an incredible guitarist whose brand of blues-based rock delivers contemporary song writing fuelled with the kind of heart and soul that’s missing from so much modern music.

“Music is hard-wired to his DNA and flows from his fingertips like sonic bolts of lightning.”

Aynsley has sold more than 100,000, receiving lashings of critical acclaim, and he is regarded as a leading light in the resurgence of British blues-infused music.

Aynsley’s latest release, Home, is out now on Straight Talkin’ Records.

As a child Aynsley was hypnotised by his dad's old guitar and songs by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Fleetwood Mac, and at the age of eight he was given his own guitar.

He played in a bar band from the age of 13 and in 1998 Thomas Ruf signed Aynsley to his label, where he recorded the first of seven successful records.

Dynamite live shows and and intense touring schedule, earned high profile support slots with

established artists like Walter Trout, John Mayall and Robert Cray, whilst rousing festival

appearances alongside artists like the Fun Lovin' Criminals cemented his standing as an artist

a compound blues roots with a fiery modern sound.

Sleepy Jake Segrave, a familiar face on the acoustic music scene in Keighley in Haworth, will provide support at Keighley Blues Club with his Delta/ragtime blues.

The gig is at Cougar Park. Visit keighleybluesclub.net to book tickets, which cost £13.
