DAVID Hasselhoff heads up a new season at Bradford Alhambra.

'The Hoff' makes his Alhambra debut in new musical Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, playing a hedonistic Ibiza DJ struggling to keep up with the changing club scene.

Described as "Friends meets Ibiza Uncovered", with a string of 90s hits, the show stars Shane Richie Junior.

Californian actor, singer and producer David Hasselhoff shot to fame in TV shows Knight Rider and Baywatch and has since had a pop career and appeared in musicals such as Chicago.

Other new shows include Jackie The Musical, inspired by the comic every teenage girl loved in the Seventies, featuring hits from the Osmonds, David Cassidy and Marc Bolan.

Tom: A Story of Tom Jones traces the veteran singer's life from the social clubs of South Wales where the Valleys boy with a big voice dreamed of the big time.

Mission Impudseyble is an interactive spy adventure starring Britain's Got Talent champs Ashleigh Butler and dancing dog, Pudsey.

There's a welcome return from Chicago, The Sound of Music, starring former Coronation Street actor Gray O'Brien, and cult classic The Rocky Horror Show.

For dance fans there's Nederlands Dans Theater 2, a new show from Strictly Come Dancing favourites Anton de Beke and Erin Boag, and New Adventures' Sleeping Beauty, setting the fairytale in the halcyon days of the late Edwardian era.

There's unmissable drama in Lord of the Flies, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and opera classics Tosca and Carmen.

Adam Renton, general manager of Bradford Theatres, said: “We welcome a diverse and dynamic range of productions to the Alhambra.

"We hope you will be as excited as we are about some of the long-running international musicals which make Yorkshire exclusive visits to our award-winning venue later in 2016 - Billy Elliot The Musical, Wicked and Mary Poppins.”
