THE TALE of an ageing alcoholic rock singer given a second chance in life will be screened by Keighley Film Club.
The movie, Danny Collins, will be screened at the Picture House cinema on North Street, on December 13 at 6pm.
In the film Al Pacino plays a debauched rock star who finally receives a letter written by John Lennon 40 years before.
The letter, full of hope, re-energises Collins to try to rebuild both his life and his fraught relationship with his family.
Critics of the “enjoyable” film have praised the acting of both Pacino and the supporting cast.
