SINGER and well-known TV actress Heather Peace will be among performers at a charity concert at Keighley’s Octagon club.

She will be joined by Roger Sutcliffe and The Wild Geese on February 26 from 7pm to raise money for the Margaret Carey Foundation.

Heather, originally from Bradford, has been an actress for 20 years and starred in TV shows like London’s Burning, Ultimate Force, Lip Service and Prey.

She left her leading role in BBC One drama Waterloo Road in 2014 to fully commit to her flourishing music career.

Over the last three years Heather has performed four sell-out UK tours with her full band as well as four sell-out solo acoustic tours.

In 2014 she released The Thin Line, a ‘soulful, organic pop gem’ which incorporated her love of 60s girl groups, Motown and 80s pop.

Heather plans to perform a UK and European tour showcasing tracks from her forthcoming EP Come Home.

Roger Sutcliffe, who now lives on the east coast, is returning to Bradford district for the evening for the Margaret Carey Foundation concert.

Roger, a blues, jazz and folk artist best known as a slide guitarist, will perform a mixture of original and traditional songs during the event.

The Wild Geese are a group of friends who first got together as a band 25 years ago.

The Bradford based band have always had a strong connection to Ireland, where they perform every year, and have also performed in the USA and Holland.

The Margaret Carey Foundation, based in Bradford, delivers bike and wheelchair maintenance workshops in 10 prisons as well as the community, recycling donated bikes, and allowing prisoners to clean, adjust and repair them to a high standard.

Some of the bikes are given to communities in need and the other sold to raise funds for the charity.

Tickets costs £10 by visiting eventbrite.co.uk or maragretcareyfoundation.org.uk.
