GET YOUR petticoat on and channel your inner Marilyn at a Valentine’s Spectacular raising money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

The event at the Octagon Live club on Bradford Road, Sandbeds, Keighley, is being billed as Petticoats and Dreamboats.

The name is reminiscent of Dreamboats and Petticoats, which has spawned several hit albums and two popular stage musicals.

The Keighley show will see tribute act Patsy Lee sing music from Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and Connie Francis, and the Memphis Cruisers play rock ‘n’ roll hits from the 50s and 60s.

DJ Lucille Ellen will get people up and rocking at the event, which is on Saturday, February 13 from 8pm.

This year the Lord Mayor’s Appeal is raising money for Bradford Children’s Hospitals Charity and the Lord Mayor of Bradford’s own Spread a Smile appeal.

The Lord Mayor, Cllr Joanne Dodds, said: "This is going to be a superb event and it is raising money for a worthwhile cause.

“I love all types of music so I’m really looking forward to this event. As it’s the day before Valentine’s Day it would be the ideal way to treat your loved one to a fantastic night out.”

Tickets cost £7.50 and are available by e-mailing lord.mayor@bradford.gov.uk.
