PEPPERJAM bring their roots, ska ‘n’ soul sound to Keighley’s Exchange Arts Centre on Friday February 19.

The 10-piece band Pepperjam will be joined at the Russell Street venue by Keighley’s own dubster rude boys Stig Of The Dub.

Pepperjam started by playing around Hebden Bridge’s pubs and clubs as a three-piece, gradually developing and growing into the larger ensemble that will be seen in Keighley.

An Exchange spokesman said: “Live the band have been picking up admirers wherever they go with the mix of reggae, ska and soul music.

“All the arrangements are entirely original and a collaboration effort of the band, arrived at by jamming and performing, constantly opening the songs up to fresh ideas and interpretations.

“Be it at festivals in the sun or a small club in their native Yorkshire, the result is the same - party!”

Band members have variously played with Black, The Ukrainians, James, Little Chief, and Laurel Aitken And The Pressure Tenants.

Tribute band Foreigner’s Journey will be at the Exchange on March 4 with the songs of top American adult-orientated rock bands Foreigner and Journey.

Between them they two bands have achieved massive commercial and critical success, selling more than 80 million albums, but have rarely played the UK.

The Tom Gee Band will be at the Exchange on March 5 with a contemporary blend of soul, blues, funk, pop and rock.

The band’s live shows are said to be notable for their impressive musical skill, memorable songs incredibly tight and professional performances.
