VOTING has now opened to help decide which movies should be shown during Keighley Film Club’s autumn season.

The volunteer-run club has already polled members of its mailing list for suggestions for the monthly screenings at Keighley Picture House.

Now members of the public can also register their vote by visiting keighleyfilmclub.com and clicking a link to the questionnaire.

Film fans can also go directly to surveymonkey.co.uk/698CBHP and make their views known.

The club’s Sunday teatime screenings of arthouse, independent and foreign films are proving increasingly popular with local cinemagoers.

Film club spokesman Alan Watkinson said the committee had worked hard to finalise a ‘long list’ of suitable films to put before the public.

He said: “We work closely with Charles Morris of the Picture House to check whether he is likely to be screening any of our proposals before the programme is finalised.”

During its current season Keighley Film Club has screened acclaimed romantic dramas Carol and Brooklyn.

Among those suggested for the autumn season are Victoria, described as an adrenaline-fuelled heist thriller set on the streets of night-time Berlin and shot in a single take.
