GROOVY Happening will offer a slightly different type of running order on Saturday when it returns to Haworth.

The evening will begin at the Parkside Club with two local solo performers followed by two sets from Liquid Brick.

Spokesman Ann Wiles said: “The brilliant young band Liquid Brick are doing really well on the Bradford music scene.

“They were a big hit with the Groovy audience when they played in October but unfortunately their set was cut short by the power cut during the January event. They have promised to make it up to us by playing a longer set.”

Liquid Brick is made up of Conor Griffiths, Danny Gallagher and Jack Brooker.

Ann said: “They play alternative/rock/indie/pop covers from the 60s onwards, with some originals. Their influences are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Feeder and Greenday.

“They love making music and entertaining people so we’re in for a good night on Saturday!”

Singer and self-taught guitarist Liam Jarvis is one of the two opening acts, performing solo rather than in his other guise as a member of several local bands.

The other solo performer, Liam Newton, will play a selection of Bob Dylan covers.

Ann added: “Liam is a big supporter of Groovy Happening going right back to the first events in 2012 when he performed with his band The Psychonaut Experience.”

The doors open at 7.30pm at Parkside Social Club, Butt Lane, Haworth. Admission is £3 and there will be a raffle for Manorlands.
