LEGENDARY roots musician Sid Griffin will play Hebden Bridge Trades Club on June 19.
Sid is described as a musician of considerable stature and notoriety and one of the architects of Americana and Alt-country.
Back in 1980s Los Angeles he founded the Long Ryders, who recently reunited, and after relocating to Britain in the 1990s formed acoustic five-piece The Coal Porters who mix folk, country and bluegrass.
Sid is now performing solo in the UK for the second time in a decade. A noted raconteur, an archetypal up-tempo Kentucky native, Sid is equally at home on 12-string guitar, mandolin or banjo.
