THE psychology of small things will be the subject of a panel discussion led by three authors in Haworth.

Writers Tracy Chevalier, Grace McCleen and Jessie Burton will be at West Lane Baptist Centre from 7.30pm on Saturday September 10.

The event, called The Magic of the Miniature, forms part of the Bronte Festival of Women's Writing, which has been organised to celebrate Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte's status as pioneering female authors.

Jessie Burton is the author of acclaimed novel The Miniaturist, which was released in 2014 and selected as Waterstone's Book of the Year.

Grace McCleen is writer-in-residence at the Bronte Parsonage Museum for 2016. Her debut novel, The Land of Decoration, was published in more than 20 languages and won the Desmond Elliott and Betty Trask Awards.

Tracy Chevalier has written eight novels, including international bestseller Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Last Runaway and At the Edge of the Orchard.
