A NEW book showcases the independent food scene across North Yorkshire.
The North Yorkshire Cook Book highlights everything from Michelin-starred restaurants to cafés, pubs, chocolatiers, producers and suppliers.
The book is the 14th in a series of regional ‘Get Stuck In’ guides by Meze Publishing, and features a forward by Andrew Pern, Michelin-starred chef of The Star Inn at Harome.
He said: “I have been cooking North Yorkshire produce since childhood - and for the past two decades at the Star Inn - and I consider it amongst the best in the world.
“I hope this cook book inspires you to try something new with the amazing ingredients we have on our doorstep.”
Fine dining restaurants also feature, such as that at The Pheasant Hotel, which was a winner at the Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards in 2014.
The book is available from Amazon.
