THERE’LL be an international carnival in Bradford on Bank Holiday Sunday thanks to Keighley hip-hop promoter Saby.

He’s booked Los Angeles rapper Dhurr from rap group DPG to headline the knees-up at the city’s club Krizma.

Also on the bill will be the Heartless Crew with MC Bushkin, MOBO award winner Lady Marga, and the Midlands performer Fonzi.

Keighley’s own Alibi Adam, a soul singer for the past few years, is acting as the host for the Carnival Back Holiday Special.

Saby, real name Sabir Hussain, is running a rare homeland event after several years organising high-profile parties and music events in Dubai.

Former Greenhead High School and Keighley College student Saby said he was delighted to be approached by the West Coast rap group DPG to organise the event in Bradford by LA-based T-Dhurr, who is known as The French Pound.

Saby said: “DPG is the group created by the world-famous rapper Snoop Dogg with lead members Daz and Kurupt, and now with the new member T Dhurr signing up, they have been going strength to strength.

“I can’t wait to give local talent a chance to perform alongside T Dhurr.

“I have already spoken to UK rap group Heartless Crew and MOBO award winner Lady Marga to support the concert.”

Over his 20-year career Saby has worked with leading hip-hop artists like Black Eyed Peas and 50 Cent.

Last year in Dubai he was heavily involved in organising the Longest DJ Rally and hopes to return to the country in November this year to smash the record again.

DPG, or Dogg Pound Gangstaz, was formed in 1992 by West Coast rappers Daz Dillinger and Kurupt.

They made their first appearance on Dr. Dre's debut album The Chronic, releasing their own debut album Dogg Food in 1995 and selling two million copies.

In 2006 the pair teamed up with renowned rapper Snoop Dogg for the album Cali Iz Active.

T-Dhurr’s-Instagram account describes him an underground international MC who has spent the last nine years in Los Angeles.
