SCOTT Fagan will bring his first-ever UK and European tour to Leeds to promote album South Atlantic Blues.
Scott’s debut album came out in 1968 but was hailed a ‘lost classic’ after being reissued last year.
National newspaper critics described it as gorgeously-romantic easy-listening music blending Scott Walker, David Bowie, Lou Reed and Tom Hardin.
The Daily Mirror said it had fabulous arrangements, full-blooded vocals and and a dazzling twist of genres.
Scott will be joined at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on October 11 by core members of acclaimed Scottish folk group Trembling Bells.
South Atlantic Blues is an epic song cycle about Fagan’s hard-scrabble life in the Virgin Islands as a child, wrapped around an impassioned love story.
