TUBULAR Brass will play Mike Oldfield’s classic album Tubular Bells in Leeds on September 24.
The 28-piece band will perform Sandy Smith’s brass arrangement in the Howard Assembly Room next door to Leeds Grand Theatre.
Tubular Brass will also give the world premiere of Hannah Peel’s Mary Casio that combines 70s analogue synthesisers with brass.
Tubular Brass was recently formed to present contemporary music and develop collaborations with artists from across the musical spectrum.
Whilst firmly rooted in the brass tradition, Tubular Brass aims to bring brass band music to a new audience by creating extraordinary projects and collaborations.
