HAWORTH Band has completed a busy summer season under musical director Steve Williams.

This included playing at the 1940s Weekend in Haworth, Manorlands Garden Party and Oxenhope Fete.

Further afield the band performed at St Peter's Fete at Addingham, Tarnfield Park in Yeadon, Gargrave Show and Malham Show.

The band were also pleased to play on the new bandstand in Haworth Park and hope this will become a regular event.

Some members of the band were invited to play at Hardraw Scar Waterfall for the filming of a new TV series Walking With My Dog with Angela Griffin, which will be screened later this year.

A band spokesman said: “This was particularly interesting as part of the programme was filmed using a drone. The band played the hymn tune Blaenwern and the Proclaimers’ 500 Miles.

“The band is about to begin rehearsals for its winter season of concerts and Christmas events.

“This friendly local band welcomes new members and will support those wishing to develop their playing skills.”
