TOUR de France cyclists ride through Keighley again as the town stages its annual international film festival.

RATMA, now in its fourth year, will again feature short movies from around the globe as well as several by local film makers.

RATMA supremo Marcus Gregg said Keighley Film Club member Jim Walker has submitted a couple of his creations to the October 8 festival.

Marcus said: “This includes his T’Races documentary of the Tour de France as it came through Keighley. It is a charming piece of work which is a must see for local audiences.”

Marcus promises “an experience every 10 minutes” from RATMA, the River Aire Ten Minute Amateur film festival, now in its new autumn slot.

Keighley College tutor Marcus and his team of volunteers have spent months watching entries and cutting shortlists from categories including music, thriller, sci-fi, documentary, animation, drama and comedy.

All the movies will be screened at the college, next to Keighley railway station, during the day on October 8 from 10am. Anyone aged over 15 can pay £2.50 to spend as long as they want watching the films in various screening rooms.

The winners in each category will be shown during a red-carpet screening at Picture House in North Street, beginning at 7pm. Visit ratmaff.weebly.com to book tickets, or pay £3 on the door.
