THE LATEST production from Bingley Little Theatre has been adapted from the tales of Charles Dickens.

The Haunting is being staged at Bingley Arts Centre from Monday to Saturday, October 24 to 29.

Screenplay writer David Janes was commissioned to write a play using several strands of Dickens’ popular ghost stories.

A spokesman said: “He has produced a gripping drama of the supernatural that promises to have the audience at Bingley’s next production on the edge of its seats.”

The Haunting is the story of a young book dealer engaged by the aristocratic owner of a isolated and crumbling mansion to catalogue the contents of his late father’s library.

Alone amongst these antiquarian rarities, David Filde stumbles upon a chilling mystery.

The spokesman added: “Filde’s susceptibility to the strange forces at work in the house holds the audience in suspense as they become his travelling companions in pursuit of the seemingly inexplicable.”
