BRADFORD Festival Choral Society will strike out in new directions at its next concert on Saturday, November 19.
The 7.30pm concert at Bradford Grammar School will feature enchanting medieval songs originally written for Spanish pilgrims to stop them singing bawdy songs.
There will also be stunning contemporary works by ?riks Ešenvalds, Eric Whitacre and Stephen Paulus.
Choir conductor Tom Leech promised works of shimmering beauty, warmth and wonder. He will give a free pre-concert talk about the background to the music .
Some of the pieces feature the choir’s unaccompanied voices, while others will be accompanied by assistant musical director Christopher Pulleyn.
