BINGLEY Amateurs brought the Broadway beat to Bingley Arts Centre last week.
The group, hot from a hugely successful summer production of Flashdance, presented Legally Blonde – The Musical.
It was based on the hit film Legally Blonde.
Writing about the show, Geoff Dowling said it told the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrols at Harvard Law School to win back her boyfriend Warner.
Geoff said: “She discovers how her new-gained knowledge can help others and she successfully defends her friend, the exercise queen Brooke Windham, in a murder trial.
“Elle was played by Cleckheaton's vivacious Emma Fearnly with a highly-professional performance and she was well backed up by an enthusiastic and accomplished cast.
“The show will have been a big hit with younger generation, but the older generation of theatregoers may have had a bit of a struggle with it!
“The show was directed and choreographed by Paul Nowland and the foot-tapping music was provided by the Rosie Walsh Orchestra. The show was not to be missed.”
