KOSHKA will perform Russian gypsy music at Otley Courthouse on Saturday, December 17.

The band are said to combine the skill and mastery of their classical conservatoire training with sheer, wild gypsy flare.

A spokesman said: “The result is simply dazzling, leaving audiences stunned as they bring their abundant ability and passionate performance to a bewildering range of rhythms and styles.

“The music is full of humour and inventive playfulness as the violins dance over the guitar with the utmost precision and soar with breathtaking, bewitching brilliance.”

Koshka’s music includes Eastern-European styles, hot club numbers reminiscent of Django Reinhardt and Grappelli, and of course wildfire gypsy string tunes.
