SOUTHERN Tenant Folk Union are popping down from Edinburgh to play their string-based music at Hebden Bridge Trades Club.
They will perform their trademark style of thought-provoking and arresting roots and folk music on February 8.
The band are past winners of the Americana Artist Of The Year award and have played on both the BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show, and Irish TV’s world famous chat show The Late Late Show.
Their regular performances at prestigious festivals such as Celtic Connections, Belfast Open House Festival, Orkney Folk Festival, Belladrum Festival, and Electric Picnic.
One review praised their tight delivery and soaring, gorgeous harmonies, which combine a rich blend of musical talent with a high octane Appalachian style.
September 2016 saw the release of the seventh Southern Tenant Folk Union album Join Forces.
It was written following the general election result, and then recorded the following month amidst a quickly changing political landscape, something that has made the suite of songs seem timelier still.
