AN AWARD-winning new musical heralds the return of Monday Matinees at the Picture House Cinema in Keighley.
La La Land recently swept the board at the Golden Globes in America, winning a record-breaking seven categories.
The film will be shown at the North Street cinema on January 23, from 2pm.
Manager David Pedrick said Monday Matinees were for “all discerning customers of leisure”, and January was packed with Oscar-worthy goodies and blockbusters.
He said: “La La Land (12a) is a bitter sweet tale of young love and young talent that stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, whose chemistry wowed in Crazy Stupid Love, set against the relentlessly sunny backdrop of Los Angeles with musical flair.
“Also showing in screen two will be A Monster Calls, starring Felicity Jones, a heartwarming coming-of-age drama with a twinge of childhood fantasy.”
Monday Matinees, which are open to everyone, include a free cup of tea and biscuit from the kiosk.
