BRADFORD Council’s accolade-winning guided walks continue in February with treks in Haworth and Baildon.

The walks recently achieved national recognition as one of the best 10 group walks in winter.

In its travel section, The Guardian newspaper included guided walks in Bradford among the best in the country, alongside National Trust walks, the Norfolk Winter Walking Festival and the Ramblers’ Festival of Winter Walks.

A circular seven-mile walk on February 1 entitled Regenerate at Hirst Wood is a hilly walk through a nature reserve. Meet David Anderson at 10:30am at Eaves car park, Hawksworth Road, Baildon beyond the cattle grid.

Ormston Return, on February 19, is five-mile circular walk around the Worth Valley. Meet Anthony Green at 10:30am at Haworth railway station.

Kenneth John Allen will lead a five-mile circular walk on parts and bridleways around Baildon Moor on January 22. Meet at Bracken Hall Centre, Glen Road, Shipley Glen, at 11am.

Silsden Reservoir is the focus of a five-mile circular walk on Wednesday January 25. Meet Malcolm Gardner at the Wesley Place car park in Silsden at 11am.
